Do I need to book or buy tickets in advance?
You can definitely turn up on the night and buy a ticket at the door, but it's a good idea to let us know in advance so we can make sure to reserve a seat and a table for you. (See Tables below for more info.) This helps ensure you have a spot to enjoy the event comfortably!
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased:
At the door on the night of the dance (Cash or Eftpos available)
At Lakeside Rockers Wednesday night dance lessons in Sale (Cash or Eftpos)
Or by direct deposit to BSB 083-879 Account No 94-714-4330 using Reference: LSR and your surname.
What age is considered a minor with regard to ticket prices?
Under 18 years
Do I have to dress up?
Some people may dress up according to the theme, others might rock their Rock 'n' Roll gear, and some will come in casual, everyday clothes. The best part? You’re welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! It's all about having fun and enjoying the atmosphere, no matter what you're wearing.
What time should I get there?
We open the doors 30 minutes before the event begins, so feel free to arrive around that time or anytime after. No stress if you're not able to stay for the entire event—whether you can join us for part of the time or arrive fashionably late, you're still welcome to have fun! The goal is just to enjoy yourself and be part of the friendly atmosphere, no matter when you arrive.
What do I need to bring?
Tea, coffee, etc is provided. Bring your own food, nibbles and other drinks of choice.
Do I need a partner?
No partner is needed—feel free to come solo or bring a friend (or a few)! The more, the merrier.
Do I need to know how to Rock'n'Roll dance?
You don’t need to be an expert dancer to join in! The event creates a friendly, welcoming environment where the focus is on having fun. There will be group progressive dances, line dances, and plenty of opportunities to get up and join in. Plus, there are times when live music adds to the energy and excitement. No one will judge you if you mess up—everyone was new at one point! So, just be willing to give it a go, and you'll have a great time! Have you ever tried Rock 'n' Roll dancing or line dancing before? Or, you can sit back, relax, listen to good music, maybe meet some new friends!
Tables
We do ask that each table takes care of its own pack-up at the end of the night (once the band has finished). It’s a quick 10-minute job for everyone that helps save a lot of work for just a few people. We really appreciate your help in making everything run smoothly! Many hands make light work!
Children
Our events are Family Friendly and children are welcome as long as they are accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Anything else I should know?
We'll have a door prize and raffle tickets available to buy on the night, so don’t miss out!
We also do our best to keep the temperature just right for everyone. Dancers tend to get warm while spectators might feel cooler, so if you have someone in your group who won’t be dancing, it’s a good idea to remind them to wear some extra layers for comfort.
Photography?
We may photograph the event, so if you’d prefer not to have your photo taken or uploaded to our social media, please let one of our Committee Members or someone at the door table know. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable!
